Intekaam  Technical Details:

·         Technical Name- Hexaconazole 5%SC

Mode of Action:

·         Intekaam functions as a sterol biosynthesis inhibitor. It targets the biosynthetic pathway crucial for producing sterols in fungi. Specifically, it inhibits the enzyme 14α-demethylase. This inhibition blocks the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol, which is an essential component of the fungal cell membrane. Without ergosterol, the cell membrane becomes dysfunctional, leading to the death of the fungal cells.
